Job Opportunity: Forest Technician

Employee type: Full time, Seasonal 

Location: Pembroke, ON or Eastern ON

Compensation: $24/hr- $28/hr


Come Grow with Us! Forsite is hiring for a Forest Technician with experience and demonstrated aptitude in providing technical expertise to forest measurement projects. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Forest Technicians are responsible for providing technical expertise to project teams in all aspects of forest measurement, ecological assessments, and GPS traversing. Experience in timber cruising or inventory is a strong asset. This is a field-based position that will include out of town and camp work. Must have:

  • A safety conscious attitude;
  • Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in a relevant discipline, or 2 years of related field experience;
  • Broad understanding of general forestry practices; and
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions;
  • Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment.
