Yard Clerk

Like a sports team, every role contributes to the company’s success. The person in this position plays a key role in providing essential support to the team specializing in equipment assembly, carpentry, and store remodeling.

Job Summary

The position holder welcomes and efficiently responds to customer needs in the lumber yard in a personalized and courteous manner. They confirm the accuracy of orders and follow up on complaints and returns. They receive merchandise from various suppliers using a forklift. They restock shelves, manage inventory, and monitor for damages. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining the yard by keeping service areas clear of debris, waste, and snow, and they comply with health and safety standards and procedures.

• Knowledge of construction materials is an asset
• Forklift operator license and propane card are assets

Working Conditions

• Salary offered based on experience and internal equity
• Standing work environment with frequent movement
• Variable work schedule; (Weekday and Saturday shifts)
• Must be able to lift loads up to 75 lbs
